| FOUNDID 1829 Austin City Council MINUTES For Council Chambers, 307 West Second Street, Austin, Texas September 06, 1991 SPECIAL CALLED MEETING TOWN LAKE CENTER 9:00 Α.Μ. BUDGET WORKSESSION - Mayor Todd called to order the special called meeting of the Council, noting the absence of Mayor Pro Tem Urdy and Councilmember Epstein. The Mayor announced the purpose of the meeting was to hold a budget worksession. POLICE Police Chief Jim Everett introduced his staff and disucessed their department budget, referring to charts. Copies of the charts are on file in the City Clerk's office. There was a discussion of additions to the Police force and the five-year plan for adding to the force. Chief Everett also told Council that much of their equipment is old and will need replacement. (At this point Mayor Todd left the meeting.) REVENUE UPDATE AND FINANCIAL SERVICES Betty Dunkerley, Director of Finance, went over the Revenue Update information. Copy of charts used are on file in the City Clerk's office. Mrs. Dunkerley also reviewed the Financial Services budget. LAW DEPARTMENT City Attorney Iris Jones and Assistant City Attorney Diana Granger discussed the Law Department budget and used charts to illustrate.
