Austin City Council MINUTES - April 08, 1992 SPECIAL CALLED MEETING TOWN LAKE CENTER 1:30 Ρ.Μ. - Mayor Todd called to order the Special Called meeting of the Council, noting the absence of Mayor Pro Tem Urdy and Councilmember Epstein. The Mayor announced the purpose of the meeting was to hold a work session on Financial Issues Paper, and to also vote on an item listed under Executive Session on which the Council had already received information. SETTLEMENT OF DAMAGE CLAIMS The Council, on Councilmember Larson's motion, Councilmember Nofziger's second, approved settlement of damage claims of $549,900.41 against a manufacturer of asbestos, United States Gypsum Company, in Dayton Independent School District, et al. v. United States Gypsum Company. 4-0 Vote, Councilmember Garcia out of the room, Mayor Pro Tem Urdy and Councilmember Epstein absent.) WORKSESSION 1. 2. Financial Issue Paper Staff presentation Betty Dunkerley, Director of Finance, and Charles Curry, Budget Officer, discussed the Financial Issues Paper and illustrated by use of slides. City Manager Camille Cates Barnett stated the proposed budget for FY 1992-93 will be presented by her on July 31, 1992. Discussion on Financial Issues Paper Members of the Council asked questions concerning the report The Financial Issues Paper is on file in the City Clerk's office.
