SPECIAL CALLED MEETING May 12, 1992 COUNCIL CHAMBER 6:00 Ρ.Μ. - Mayor Todd called to order the special called meeting of the Council, noting the presence of all members. He announced the purpose of the meeting was to pass through Third Reading of an ordinance calling an election on August 8, 1992. After discussion, the following motion was made: Motion Councilmember Reynolds made a motion, seconded by Mayor Pro Tem Urdy, "that we adopt on Third Reading what we passed two times, with the inclusion of some amendments, the major portion of the change is under the caption which states: providing thereupon passage of the Ordinance initiated by petition, also referred to as the SOS initiative petition, this alternative ordinance to improve water quality shall be automatically and indefinitely suspended without implementation." Councilmember Garcia said that since there are substantive amendments being made, perhaps public input should be allowed. Motion Councilmember Nofziger made a motion to allow the public to speak. The Mayor and Council agreed to let citizens speak for a total of fifteen minutes. Roll Call on Motion with Amendment 4-3 Vote, Mayor Todd, Councilmembers Garcia and Nofziger voted No. ADJOURNMENT Council adjourned its meeting at 7:25 Ρ.Μ. MINUTES 1 5/12/92 !
