! こ QUESTI FOUNDED 182 Austin City Council MINUTES SPECIAL CALLED MEETING - August 19, 1992 TOWN LAKE CENTER 1:30 Ρ.Μ. - : Mayor Todd called to order the special called meeting of the Council, noting the absence of Councilmember Epstein. He announced the purpose of the meeting was to have a budget worksession and listen to reports from the departments listed on the agenda. Mayor Todd said first of all he wanted to discuss the Balcones Canyonland Conservation Plan payment. City Manager Barnett discussed the proposed bond sale structure for 1992-93, as well as Betty Dunkerley, Finance Director and Bill Stockton, Director of Public Works and Transportation. There was discussion on flood control, parks and various other concerns. Mrs. Dunkerley said the bond sale should be before September 22, 1992 and then Council can set the tax rate. Joe Higgs and Robert Martinez of Austin Interfaith made comments. The departments listed below were not called on to make their presentations, but only to answer questions of Mayor and Council as it pertained to the bond sale. The meeting was adjourned at 3:13.
