i ن AUSITTIN FOUNDID 1839 Austin City Council MINUTES SPECIAL MEETING 9:00 Α.Μ. - January 24, 1994 Kayor Todd called to order the meeting of the Council, noting the absence of Mayor Pro Tem Urdy. EXECUTIVE SESSION (No Public Discussion on These Items) The City Council will announce that it will go into Executive Session, if necessary, pursuant to Chapter 551 of the Texas Government Code to receive advice from Legal Counsel, to discuss matters of land acquisition, litigation and personnel matters. No final action will be taken on any subject or matter unless specifically listed on the agenda for this meeting. Personnel Matters - Section 551.074 1. Discuss appointment of City Manager or Acting City Manager and consider compensation and benefits package. RECESS Council recessed from 1:05 to 2:36 for executive session. ACTION ON THE FOLLOWING 2. Consider appointment of City Manager or Acting City Manager and fix compensation and benefits package. The Council, on Mayor Pro Tem Nofziger's motion, Councilmember Garcia's second, appointed Jesus Garza as Acting City Manager with salary of $115,000 and other compensation and benefits. 6-0 Vote, Mayor Pro Tem Urdy absent.
