Austin City Council MINUTES AUGUST 28,1996 Mayor Pro Tern Garcia recessed the meeting until 1:00 p.m., noting the absence of Mayor Todd, Councilmembers Goodman, Mitchell, and Slusher. Mayor Todd called the meeting to order, noting the temporary absence of Councilmember Reynolds, and the absence of Councilmembers Goodman and Mitchell. PREVIEW OF ITEMS FOR NEXT COUNCIL MEETING 1. Review of Proposed Agenda Items from the City Manager for September 5, 1996. 2. Review of Proposed Agenda Items from Council for September 5, 1996. BRIEFING AND DISCUSSION ITEMS 4. PUBLIC SAFETY; YOUTH FAMILY AND NEIGHBORHOOD VITALITY Presentation given by Joe Lessard and Chief Elizabeth Watson. 5. SUSTAINABLE COMMUNITY Presentation given by Jim Smith, Mike Heitz, Roger Duncan, Matt Kite Mitt Tidwell and Alice Glasco. ADJOURNED at 3:35 p.m. Approved on this the 5th day of September, 1996, on, Mayor Pro Tern Garcia's motion, Councilmember Slusher's second, 4-0 vote, Councilmembers Goodman, Griffith and Mitchell temporarily absent.
