Austin City Council MINUTES SPECIAL CALLED MEETING JUNE 2,1997 Mayor Todd called the meeting to order, noting the absence of Councilmembers Griffith, Reynolds and Slusher. 1. Canvass results of Municipal Runoff Election of May 31, 1997. Motion to approve May 31, 1997, Runoff Election: Bill Spellman to Place 5, and Willie Lewis to Place 6, on Councilmember Mitchell's motion, Mayor Pro Tern Garcia's second, 4-0 vote, Councilmembers Griffith, Reynolds and Slusher absent. ADJOURNED at 10:03 a.m. on, Mayor Pro Tern Garcia's motion, Councilmember Mitchell's second, 4-0 vote, Councilmembers Griffith, Reynolds and Slusher absent. Approved on this the 26th day of June, 1997, on Mayor Pro Tern Garcia's motion, Councilmember Spelman's second, 7-0 vote.
