Mayor Watson called to order the meeting of the Council, noting the presence of all Councilmembers. ORDINANCES 1. Approve first/second/third readings of an Ordinance adopting and approving the Operating Budget for the fiscal year beginning October 1, 1997 and terminating September 30, 1998, and making appropriations for each project and account, including the errata. 2. 3. Ordinance No. 970917-A with amendments approved on Councilmember Slusher's motion, Mayor Pro Tem Garcia's second, 5-2 vote, Councilmembers Griffith and Spelman voting NO. Amendment to add 1 FTE in Eastside Story and 1 FTE in Information Systems Support (no fiscal impact) on Councilmember Goodman's motion, Mayor Pro Tem Garcia's second, 7-0 vote. Amendment to add 1 FTE in Development Review and Inspection Department for an Electrical Plan Review Specialist (no fiscal impact) on Councilmember Goodman's motion, Mayor Pro Tem Garcia's second, 7-0 vote.
