Austin City Council MINUTES SPECIAL CALLED MEETING OCTOBERS, 1997- 7:OOP.M. Mayor Watson called the meeting to order, noting the absence of Mayor Pro Tern Garcia. 1. Public hearing on the annexation of U.S. 183 East Luther Polnau, City of Austin Manager of Information and Planning, gave a brief overview. 110 Citizens signed appearance cards (on file in City Clerk's Office) 2. Set a public hearing on the proposed annexation of US 183 East area. (Suggested date and time: October 16, 1997 at 6:15 p.m.) Approved one public hearing to be held at 6:15 p.m. on October 16, 1997 at the Council Chambers then another on site public hearing be set at that time on Councilmember Slusher's motion, Councilmember Goodman's second, 6-0 vote, Mayor Pro Tern Garcia absent. ADJOURNED at 10:40 p.m. on Councilmember Slusher's motion, Councilmember Spelman's second, 6-0 vote, Mayor Pro Tern Garcia absent. Approved on this the 23rd day of October, 1997, on Mayor Pro Tern Garcia's motion, Councilmember Spelman's second, 7-0 vote.
