CT Y OF AUST Z FOUNDED 1839 Austin City Council MINUTES SPECIAL CALLED MEETING November 25, 1997 - 6:30P.M. 6:30 p.m. 1. Mayor Watson called the meeting to order, noting the absence of Councilmember Spelman. Public hearing on the annexation of the Southwestern Area, Case No. C17a-97-012, which includes the Southland Oaks Municipal Utility District and adjacent land currently in the City's limited purpose jurisdiction and the Bowles Subdivision, and Tanglewood Forest Municipal Utility Distract and intervening land extending between Tanglewood Forest MUD and the southern portion of Southland Oaks MUD. 7:30 p.m. 2. Assistant City Manager Toby Futrell presented areas of information on the annexation issues and where these could be located. Several department directors and assistant directors presented the different areas of the service plan. 57 Citizens signed appearance cards (on file in City Clerk's Office) Close the public hearing on Councilmember Slusher's motion, Mayor pro Tem Garcia's second, 6-0 vote, Councilmember Spelman absent. Public hearing on the Strategic Partnership Agreement with Tanglewood Forest Municipal Utility District. Council was joined by five (5) board members of the Tanglewood Forest Municipal Utility District. Martha Terry, Senior Attorney, gave information on partnership agreement. Luther Polnau, City of Austin Manager of Information and Planning, gave a brief overview on service plans for the different events of the agreement. 38 Citizens signed appearance cards (on file in City Clerk's Office) Close the public hearing on Councilmember Lewis' motion, Councilmember Slusher's second, 6-0 vote, Councilmember Spelman absent.
