Austin City Council MINUTES SPECIAL CALLED MEETING August 17, 1998 Mayor Watson called the meeting to order, noting the presence of all Councilmembers. Approve an Ordinance ordering an election to authorize the issuance of Revenue Bonds and General Obligation Bonds. Ordinance No. 980817-A approved a November 3, 1998 election date on Mayor Pro Tern Garcia's motion, Councilmember Slusher's second, 5-2 vote, Councilmembers Griffith and Lewis voting "NO". ADJOURNED at 9:50 a.m. on Concilmember Griffith's motion, Councilmember Slusher's second, 7-0 vote. Approved on this the 26th day of August, 1998 on Councilmember Spelman's motion, Councilmember Slusher's second, 4-0-1 vote, Mayor Pro Tern Garcia abstaining, Councilmember Griffith off the dais, Councilmember Griffith absent.
