Austin City Council MINUTES SPECIAL-CALLED MEETING June 15,1999 Mayor Watson called the meeting to order at 7:57 p.m. Council Members Garcia and Spelman were absent. (1) Administer the oath of office to the newly elected Council Members for Place One, Place Three, and Place Four of the City Council. The Honorable Judge Orlinda Naranjo, Travis County Court-at-law No. 2 administered the oath of office to Council Members Goodman, Griffith and Slusher. (2) Select Mayor Pro Tern. A motion was made to reelect Council Member Goodman as Mayor Pro Tern on Council Member Griffith's motion, Council Member Slusher's second by a 5-0 vote. Council Members Garcia and Spelman were absent. (3) Adjourned at 8:40 p.m. on Council Member Slusher's motion, Council Member Lewis' second by a 5-0 vote. Council Members Garcia and Spelman were absent. The minutes for the Special Called Meeting of June 15,1999 and the minutes for the Regular Meeting of July 1, 1999 were approved on this the 15th day of July, 1999 on Council Member Slusher's motion, Mayor Watson's second by a 4-0 vote. Mayor Pro Tern Goodman and Council Member Griffith were off the dais. Council Member Garcia was absent.
