Austin City Council MINUTES REGULAR MEETING THURSDAY, AUGUST 23, 2000 The City Council of Austin, Texas, convened in a Special Called Meeting on Wednesday, August 23, 2000 at Manchaca United Methodist Church, Located at 1101 FM 1626, Austin, Texas. Mayor Pro Tern Goodman called the meeting to order at 7:09 p.m. Public Hearing on full purpose annexation of the Canterbury Trails annexation area, consisting of approximately 227 acres located on the east side of Manchaca Road at the intersection of Manchaca Road and Ravenscroft Drive. (This area is in Austin's Three- Year Annexation Plan, and annexation is not scheduled until the year 2002.) The presentation concerning the annexation process was made by Ben Luc kens, Development Services Process Coordinator with the Planning, Environmental and Conservation Services Division. The motion to adjourn the meeting at 7:49 p.m. was approved on Council Member Slusher's motion, Council Member Griffith's second by a 6-0 vote. Mayor Watson was absent. The minutes for Special Called Meetings of August 21, 2000 and August 23, 2000 and Regular Meeting of August 24, 2000 were approved as part of the consent agenda on Council Member Thomas' motion, Mayor Pro Tern Goodman's second by a 6-0 vote. Mayor Watson was absent.
