Austin City Council MINUTES SPECIAL CALLED MEETING THURSDAY, SEPTEMBER 7,2000 The City Council of Austin, Texas, convened in a Special Called Meeting on Thursday, September 7,2000 at 2311 Willow Street. Mayor Watson called the meeting to order at 12:32 a.m. All Council Members were present except Council Member Griffith. The purpose was to discuss issues related to affordable housing and matching funds for rehabilitation. An announcement was made that various banks in Austin have made $25,000,000 available to assist Austin citizens in obtaining affordable housing through the Mayor's Challenge Fund. ADJOURNED at 12:54 p.m. on Council Member Wynn's motion, Council Member Alvarez' second by a 6-0 vote. The minutes for the regular meeting of September 7, 2000 and Special Called Meetings of September 7, 2000, September 11, 2000 and September 12, 2000 were approved on Council Member Alvarez' motion, Mayor Watson's second by a 5-0 vote.
