Council Audit and Finance Committee SPECIAL CALLED MEETING Summary of Minutes Thursday, September 28,2000 Council Members Attending: Mayor Kirk Watson, Mayor Pro Tern Jackie Goodman, Council Members Daryl Slusher and Beverly Griffith. Agenda Item #1: Nominate three members of the City Council to sit on the ad hoc nominating committee that is responsible for appointing a new City Auditor. The motion to nominated Mayor Kirk Watson as the Chair, and Mayor Fro Tern Jackie Goodman and Council Member Daryl Slusher was unanimously approved on Council Member Griffith's motion, Mayor Fro Tern Goodman's second. Agenda Item #2: Discuss ad hoc nominating committee's selection process timeline. Ruth Ann Edwards made the presentation. At the City Council Meeting of October 5th, Council will vote on the appointments for the Nominating Committee, then there will be a meeting for the Nominating Commitee to distribute materials about the applicants. The Nominatig Committee will determine which candidates will beinterviewed at the October 24tb Audit and Finance Committee meeting. The motion to adjourn the meeting at 5:42 p.m. was unanimously approved on Council Member Slusher's motion, Council Member Griffith's second.
