Austin City Council MINUTES SPECIAL CALLED MEETING TUESDAY, OCTOBER 9, 2001 The City Council of Austin, Texas, convened in a Special Called Meeting on Tuesday, October 9, 2001 at the Onion Creek Country Club Clubhouse, located at 2510 Onion Creek Parkway, Austin, Texas. Mayor Pro Tern Goodman called the meeting to order at 6:43 p.m. Public hearing on full purpose annexation of the Onion Creek municipal annexation plan area (approximately 1222 acres located on the east side of IH-35 at the Onion Creek Parkway/IH 35 intersection.) The presentation was made by Ben Luckens, Planning, Transportation and Sustainabilty; Assistant Chief Rudy Londeros, Austin Police Department; Commander Brad Conner, Austin Police Department; Pieter Sybersma, Austin Fire Department; Heather Cox, Emergency Medical Services; Ann Hargrove, Solid Waste Services; Ed Poppitt, Street and Bridge; Richard Kroger, Planning, Transportation and Sustainability; Jose Guerrera, Watershed Protection; David Lopez, Health and Human Services; Greg Guernsey, Neighborhood Planing and Zoning; Marilee Radcliff, Austin Public Library; and Sarah Campbell, Parks and Recreation Department. The public hearing was closed and the meeting was adjourned on Council Member Slusher's motion, Council Member Wynn's second by a 4-0 vote. Mayor Watson and Council Members Griffith and Thomas were absent.
