MINUTES OF CITY COUNCIL WORKSESSION AUGUST 28,2002 Austin City Council MINUTES WORKSESSION WEDNESDAY, AUGUST 28,2002 The following represents the actions taken by the Austin City Council in the order they occurred during the meeting. While the minutes are not in sequential order, all agenda items were discussed. The City Council of Austin, Texas convened in a Work Session on Wednesday, August 28, 2002 at One Texas Center, 505 Barton Springs Road, 3RD Floor Training Room, Austin, Texas. Mayor Garcia called the meeting to order at 9:39 a.m. Budget Briefings - Fiscal Year 2002-2003 1. Community Services: Parks, Library, Health, Primary Care and Housing. The introduction was made by Michael McDonald, Assistant City Manager. The individual department presentations were made as follows: Parks—Jesus Olivares, Director; Library - Brenda Branch, Director; and Health and Human Service - David Lurie, Director. Primary Care and Housing briefings will be held on August 29, 2002 at the regular Council Meeting starting at 10:00 a.m. The motion to adjourn the meeting at 11:54 a.m. was approved on Mayor Pro Tern Goodman's motion, Council Member Dunkerley's second on a 7-0 vote. The minutes from the work session of August 28, 2002 were approved on Council Member Thomas' motion, Mayor Pro Tern Goodman's second on a 7-0 vote.
