Austin City Council MINUTES WORKSESSION WEDNESDAY, SEPTEMBER 25,2002 The following represents the actions taken by the Austin City Council in the order they occurred during the meeting. While the minutes are not in sequential order, all agenda items were discussed. The City Council of Austin, Texas convened in a Work Session on Wednesday, September 25,2002 at One Texas Center, 505 Barton Springs Road, 3™ Floor Training Room, Austin, Texas. Mayor Garcia called the meeting to order at 10:10 a.m. Public Power Utility Competitive Matters-Section 551.086 1. Briefing on competitive strategies and financial planning. No Executive Session was held. Briefings 3. Presentation and discussion on proposed Central Texas Regional Mobility Authority. Presentation will include a staff briefing and overview from elected officials from State of Texas, Travis and Williamson Counties. The presentation was made by Lisa Gordon, Assistant City Manager, Austin Librach, Director, Transportation, Planning and Sustainability Department, Travis County Commissioners Moore, Stonelitner and Davis, Representative Mike Krusee, Travis County Judge Briscoe, and Williamson County Judge Doefler. 2. Austin Energy Financial and General Manager's Report. The presentation was made by Juan Garza, General Manager, Elaine Kuhlman, Chief Financial Officer, and Roger Duncan, Sr. Vice President of Austin Energy. The motion to adjourn the meeting at 11:40 a.m. was approved on Council Member Slusher's motion, Council Member Wynn's second on a 6-0 vote. Council Member Thomas was absent. The minutes from the work session of September 25, 2002 were approved on Mayor Pro Tern Goodman's motion, Council Member Dimkerley's second on a 7-0 vote.
