CITY COUNCIL WORKSESSION JANUARY 29, 2003 Austin City Council MINUTES WORK SESSION WEDNESDAY, JANUARY 29,2003 The following represents the actions taken by the Austin City Council in the order they occurred during the meeting. The City Council of Austin, Texas convened in a Work Session on Wednesday, January 29,2003 at One Texas Center, 505 Barton Springs Road, 3rd Floor Training Room, Austin, Texas. Mayor Garcia called the meeting to order at 10:02 a.m. Briefings 1. Briefing on U.S. Housing and Urban Development Housing Discrimination Study - Presentation provided by members of Mayor's Coalition Against Housing Discrimination. The presentation was made by: Adana Barry, Executive Assistant, Mayor's Office; Kathy Stark, President, Austin Tenants9 Council; Diana Mclver, Diana Mclver and Associates; Paul Hilgers, Community Development Officer, Neighborhood Housing; Charles Gorham, Human Rights Commission; and Vanessa Downing-Little, Director, Human Resource Department. 2. Briefing on remaining Near Term Central Business District Transportation Recommendations. The presentation was made by: Lisa Gordon, Assistant City Manager and Austan Librach, Director, Transportation Planning & Sustainability Department. The motion to adjourn the meeting at 12:05 was approved on Council Member Alvarez' motion, Council Member Wynn's second on a 7-0 vote. The minutes for the Worksession of January 29, 2003 were approved on February 6, 2003 on Council Member Thomas* motion, Council Member Wynn's second on a 7-0 vote.
