CITY COUNCIL WORKSESSION WEDNESDAY, APRIL 2,2003 Austin City Council MINUTES WORKSESSION WEDNESDAY, APRIL 2,2003 The following represents the actions taken by the Austin City Council in the order they occurred during the meeting. The City Council of Austin, Texas convened in a Work Session on Wednesday, April 2,2003 at One Texas Center, 505 Barton Springs Road, 3rd Floor Training Room, Austin, Texas. Mayor Garcia called the meeting to order at 10:07 a.m. PREVIEW OF ITEMS FOR NEXT WORKSESSION BRIEFINGS 1. Briefing from the Airport Advisory Commission on the commission's goals and activities. The presentation was made by Charles Gates, Aviation Department, Hannah Riddering, Chair, and Michael Voticky, Vice Chair of the Airport Advisory Commission. 3. Update from Housing and Community Development on Long Term Investment Strategy and Projects. Paul Hilgers, Community Development Officer, made the presentation. 2. Update on the proposed hazardous liquid pipeline ordinance. The presentation was made by Lisa Gordon, Assistant City Manager; Gary Warren, Fire Chief; Mike Heitz, Watershed Protection and Community Development Review Director; Paul Hilgers, Community Development Officer; and Mitzi Cotton, Senior Attorney in the Law Department. The motion to adjourn the meeting at 11:47 a.m. was approved on Council Member Slasher's motion, Council Member Wynn's second on a 7-0 vote. The minutes for the work session of April 2, 2003 were approved on April 10, 2003 on Mayor Pro Tern Goodman's motion, Council Member Thomas' second on a 6-0 vote. Council Member Dunkerley was off the dais.
