CITY COUNCIL WORKSESSION WEDNESDAY, May 7,2003 Austin City Council MINUTES WORKSESSION WEDNESDAY, MAY 7,2003 The following represents the actions taken by the Austin City Council in the order they occurred during the meeting. The City Council of Austin, Texas convened in a Work Session on Wednesday, May 7,2003 at One Texas Center, 505 Barton Springs Road, 3rd Floor Training Room, Austin, Texas. Mayor Garcia called the meeting to order at 10:11 a.m. Preview Of Items For Next Worksession Briefings 1. Report by the Ethics Review Commission on its goals and accomplishments. The presentation was made by James Reed, Chairman, Ethics Review Commission and John Greene, Attorney, City of Austin. ' 2. Briefing regarding process improvements, organizational changes and planning by the Rlectric Service Delivery division of Austin Energy. The presentation was made by Juan Gar/a, General Manager, Austin Energy and AI Lujan, Sr. Vice President, Electric Service Delivery, Austin Energy. Mayor Garcia recessed the Work Session at 11:09 a.m. to go into the Executive Session. EXECUTIVE SESSION Private Consultation With Attorney - Section 551.071 3. Discuss legal issues concerning proposed legislation in the 78"' Legislature relating to signs. Executive Session ended at 11:43 a.m. The motion to adjourn the meeting at 11:45 a.m. was approved on Council Member Slasher's motion, Council Member Dunkerley's second on a 4-0 vote. Council Members Thomas and Alvarez were off the dais. Mayor Pro Tern Goodman was absent.
