CITY COUNCIL SPECIAL CALLED MINUTES THURSDAY, JUNE 5, 2003 Austin City Council MINUTES SPECIAL CALLED MEETING THURSDAY, June 5, 2003 The following represents the actions taken by the Austin City Council in the order they occurred during the meeting. While the minutes are not in sequential order, all agenda items were discussed. The City Council of Austin, Texas, convened in a regular meeting on Thursday, June 5, 2003 in the Board Room at Lower Colorado River Authority Hancock Building, 3700 Lake Austin Boulevard. Mayor Garcia called the Special Called Meeting to order at 11:26 p.m. ITEMS FROM COUNCIL 1. Approve a resolution creating a short-term task force to conduct a review of the data and analysis of the impacts of air quality on human health, including the effects of fossil fuel burning, vehicle and related emissions, wind-born particulates such as those from large scale agricultural burning and power plants, and indoor air quality with recommendations for regulations and ordinance amendments. (Mayor Pro Tern Jackie Goodman and Council Member Raul Alvarez) Resolution No. 030605-01SC was approved on Mayor Pro Tern Goodman's motion, Council Member Alvarez1 second on a 7-0 vote. The motion to adjourn the meeting at 11:32 p.m. was approved on Council Member Slusher's motion, Council Member Wynn's second on a 7-0 vote.
