Austin City Council MINUTES SPECIAL CALLED MEETING MONDAY, JUNE 16, 2003 INVOCATION - Pastor Ricky Poe Presentation of Colors by the Austin Fire Department Honor Guard Pledge of Allegiance National Anthem - Diane Yoder 1. Administer the Oath of Office to the newly elected Mayor, Council Members for Place Two, Place Five, and Place Six of the City Council. The Honorable Judge Flowers administered the oath of office to Council Members Alvarez, McCracken, Thomas, and Mayor Wynn. Mayor Wynn called the meeting to order at 6:15 p.m. 2. Selection of Mayor Pro Tern A motion was made to appoint Council Member Jackie Goodman as Mayor Pro Tern on Council Member Dunkerley's motion, Council Member Thomas' second on a 7-0 vote. Mayor Wynn, Council Member Alvarez, McCracken, and Thomas delivered individual remarks. The motion to adjourn the meeting at 7:03 p.m. was approved on Mayor Pro Tern Goodman's motion, Council Member Slusher's second on a 7-0 vote. BENEDICTION - Father Case
