Here at 3:55 I'm going to recess the city council meeting, November 14th, 2019, city hall here in 355, we're going to convene the board meeting of the Austin housing finance corporation. A core of the board is present. Is this a consent agenda with us today? >> It is. Housing and finance corporation, you have nine items on the agenda. I do want to point out that seven of those agenda items are rental housing development assistance loan applications that were recommending approval. $12.5 million. Nearly 700 units of affordable housing. Approximately half of which are affordable to folks below 50% median family income. I did want to point that out. In addition, we are recommending authorization of a contract with our seven nonprofit partners in the -- for the go repair [3:56:56 PM] program, providing home repair services for low and moderate income households all across the city of Austin. I offer it on consent and happy to answer any questions you may have. >> Adler: Much of this funding is following from the 2018 bond. >> The vast majority of it. Of the seven applications, nly one is federal funding, the rest are from general obligation bonds, and then the entire package, with the exception of 150,000 of the 11.15 million for the go repair program is from the 2018 bonds. >> Adler: The community should feel proud. Is there a motion to approve the consent agenda? Any discussion? Council member Casar? >> Casar: Just to thank you again and all the partners on this list, we aren't a participant in subsidizing every single one of the units, but that info you got over to us today with this, we'll be [3:57:56 PM] passing and helping create 631 low income units across the city. That will put our total that I think we've supported this year to over 1,000, I think. But 631, low income units, just I think on this agenda I think is what our tally shows across all of these different buildings. And that really is just exciting, including -- >> I'm adding them up in my head. The total units for this year, 1,258. But you are correct that we're a little over 1,000, if my math is right for all of the below market -- >> Casar: Low income units, we're helping folks that are living with hiv/aids, producing housing for folks coming out of homelessness as well as working class people and families and veterans. I think it was an effort that took the whole council to put those bonds on the ballot, to [3:58:56 PM] pass them, and thank you to staff for getting the work done. >> Renteria: I'm really grateful we're able to leverage $1 million and have 100 units built there on fifth and navasota, where the dma that's gonna build our affordable housing there. So, you know, this is really great and I like the way that we're leveraging our money, our bond money, so that we can build all these units. >> Mayor Adler: Okay. There's been a motion and second. Approving consent agenda. Those in favor please raise your hand. Those opposed. It passes unanimously by the housing finance corporation board. Thank you very much. We're going to adjourn the ahfc meeting at 3:59
