I'm going to call to order the Austin city council special called meeting here on may 11th, 2021. The time is 8:45. This meeting is being held via video conference. This is the special called meeting to canvass the may first election. There being the necessary quorum of the city of Austin city council, the meeting is called to order. As you know, only two council members are necessary for a quorum to canvass an election. We have more than that present. We're now going to take up the single item today to approve a resolution canvassing the results of the may 1st special municipal elections. In the may 1st election the returns of the elections show that there were 124,334 votes for and 29,110 votes against proposition a. 90,498 votes for and 66,360 votes against proposition B. 96,993 votes for and 57,307 votes against proposition C. It 85,410 votes against proposition G. 65,553 votes for and 87,734 votes against proposition H. Can we confirm before we take a motion that there is as I understand it no one registered to speak on this item? >> That is correct, mayor, there are no speakers. >> Mayor Adler: Okay. There being none, I would entertain a motion on this item number 1 to approve the [8:48:28 AM] resolution canvassing and accepting the returns for the may 1st, 2021 special municipal elections. Declaring that propositions abcde are adopted and propositions fg and H are not adopted. >> So move P. >> Mayor Adler: Councilmember pool makes the motion. Is is there a second is to the motion? Councilmember tovo seconds the motion. Is there any discussion? Then let's take a vote. We can do this just -- well, let's take a vote. Those in favor please raise your hand? Voting in the affirmative are councilmember Kelly, tovo, pool, Casar and myself. I see that's everyone on the dais that's with us. >> I think we also have councilmember Ellis and council member -- >> Mayor Adler: I'm sorry, [8:49:29 AM] I'm not seeing the other people. >> Good morning, I'm voting in the affirmative. >> Mayor Adler: I see everybody now. Let me take the vote again. Thank you, Leslie. Those in favor please raise your hand. Voting aye on the dais are council members pool, Ellis, Kelly, tovo, Casar, Fuentes. I think that's everyone present all voting aye. This measure passes on a vote of 7 in favor. With that, that is all the business at our meeting. So at 8:49 this meeting is adjourned.
