>> Mayor Adler: All right. Colleagues. Good morning. We have two meetings today. We'll run one and then the other. The first one is to canvas the results. We'll begin with that. So I'm going to convene the city of Austin special called meeting of may 17, 2022. The time is 9:15. We are in the boards and commissions room. Welcome everybody back to the boards and commissions room here at city hall. We have two of our colleagues participating remotely today. Councilmember Kelly is remote and councilmember harper-madison is remote and will be on and off with us and back and forth. Then we have nine of us here present, the balance of the nine present in the boards and commissions room.

On this special called meeting we just have one item, and it is to approve a resolution canvassing the results of the may 7th, 2022 special election. This meeting is called to order. As you know under state law only two council members are necessary for a quorum to canvass an election. We'll take up this item number 1 to approve that resolution canvassing the results of the may 7th municipal election. In the may 7th election the returns of the election show that there were 58,119 votes for and 9,857 votes against proposition a. Before we take up a motion, is there anyone who is registered to speak on this item? No one registered to speak?
[9:17:04 AM]
If that's the case then we will proceed. Is there a motion to approve the resolution canvassing and accepting the returns for the may 7th special municipal elections declaring that proposition a is adopted? Council member Fuentes makes that motion, councilmember Ellis seconds that motion. Colleagues, is there any discussion on this item? Hearing none, let's take a vote. All those in favor raise your hand, please. Those opposed. It's unanimous on the dais, all council members voting aye. Motion passes on a vote of 11-0. That was all the business in this special called meeting so this meeting then adjourned.
