And I am going to convene the [3:35:13 PM] special called meeting of the city council that was set for today, October 27th, 2022. We are in the boards and commission -- sorry, we're in the council chambers. I'm talking while I'm looking for pieces of paper. And we're in the council auto-pilot. We're in the council chamber. And the time is 3:35. We only have one item to consider in this special called. And we're now going to go into closed session to take up that one item. Pursuant to section 551.071 of the government code we're going to discuss legal issues related to the city of Austin 2022 labor negotiations. I think we are all here. Does anybody have any objection to us just going into the back room, the executive session room to discuss this? Then that's what we're going to [3:36:16 PM] do. Without objection, we'll go into executive session on this item. Councilmember kitchen, do you want to say anything before we go? >> Kitchen: Yeah, I have a question, because we still have 41 and 45. I'm not certain why we're not doing those first? >> Mayor Adler: Just so we can get past this item. >> Kitchen: Okay. But how long do -- I just don't want to push 41 and 45 to a point where we don't have -- >> Mayor Adler: My hope is we're going to get all this done before dinner. >> Kitchen: Okay, because both of those ims are important. >> Mayor Adler: I want -- they're both real important to me and I think we can pass them before dinner. If we need more time in executive session, then what I anticipate this is going to be, then we will recess our executive session, come back out and have these two items and then go back into executive session. >> Kitchen: Okay. I don't know how much time you're thinking we need for 41 and 45. >> Mayor Adler: It's going to be 31 minutes exactly on item number 41 because that's what [3:37:18 PM] we've agreed. On the environmental ordinance, I think that really the only issue is going to be the five amendments brought councilmember vela. I could be wrong. >> Kitchen: Okay. I'm not certain why we're limiting 41 to 30 minutes. That seems pretty short. And I don't know -- >> Mayor Adler: We can -- the conversation I had with councilmember tovo. >> Kitchen: Okay. >> Mayor Adler: As probably the appropriate amount of time. >> Kitchen: Okay. >> Mayor Adler: To -- >> Kitchen: She wasn't here. >> Mayor Adler: She and I had talked about it this morning. The message post that I put on came out of the conversation I had with her. Okay. With that, let's all go back to the executive session. [4:58:14 PM] >> Mayor Adler: Are we ready? Okay, colleagues, we are out of the executive session. We discussed legal issues related to item number 1. It is 4:58, and with that, having taken care of all our business in the special called meeting, that meeting is adjourned.
