good morning everybody. It's 9:00 in the morning. It's may 14th, 2024, and I will call to order the Austin city council for a special called meeting of the Austin city council. We are meeting in the city council chambers located in city hall at 301 west second street in Austin, Texas, and there is a quorum of the Austin city council. Present members on the eye. We have one item on our agenda for this special call meeting, and it's to approve a resolution canvasing the results of the may 4th, 2024 special election. Under state law, only two council members are necessary for a quorum to canvass an election. And we have a majority of the Austin city council present here today. We will take up item number one to approve that resolution, members in the special elections, the returns of the election show that that there were 1450 votes for and 138 votes against proper position, a zero votes for and

position, a zero votes for and zero votes against proposition B , three votes for and zero votes against proposition C, two votes for and 110 votes against proposition D, zero votes for and zero votes against. Proposition E, one vote for and zero votes against proposition F . As a result, a majority of all votes cast in the special election were cast for propositions, a, C, and F, a majority of all votes cast in the special election were cast against proposition D, and no votes at all were cast in the special elections on propositions B and E, a proposition needs more than 50% of the votes cast in favor of passage in order for it to pass. Therefore as stated in the resolution, which I will take a

resolution, which I will take a motion on momentarily, that means propositions a, E, C, and F passed and those areas which are lost. Creek, blue goose road, and river place, outparcels shall be dis annexed pursuant to city and state law and propositions B, D, and E failed, and those areas which are Moreland, addition, lennar at Maloney and wild horse Webb tract shall remain in the city of Austin. Before I take a motion, let me ask the city clerk's office. Is there anyone that is signed up to speak on on item number one on the special called meeting? >> No mayor. But Christy Mahon is our lawyer who can answer that question. She's wog on the dis annexation for all of these pieces, I'm sure we. Yes. It once dis annexed by calculation of where the etj lies.
