Is there a motion to approve the consent agenda as read? Board member zo qadri makes the motion seconded by board member
[11:25:42 AM]
seconded by board member harper-madison. Discussion on the consent agenda as read. Is there anyone wishing to abstain from any of the items on the consent agenda? Anyone wishing to be shown recusing themselves from a vote on the consent agenda? Anyone wishing to be shown voting no on the consent agenda? Members without further discussion. Without objection, the consent agenda for the Austin housing finance corporation. >> We do have we do have a few speakers. >> Oh well, that that works too. Let's go to those. >> All right. Sorry about that. No that's fine. We have it. Looks like we have chase Wright on item six. >> Chase Wright. Chase Wright. Chase Wright okay. >> And then it looks like we also have Micah Arnold on item. Let's see. No we have Zenobia
[11:26:43 AM]
Let's see. No we have Zenobia Joseph. So give me one moment. Let me allow her to speak. Miss Joseph. >> Thank you. Mayor, can you hear me? Yes. Okay. Thank you. Mayor. Directors. Members. Zenobia. Joseph. My opposition is to item 13. That is a $100 million project. You're being asked to fund the 8.75 million today, 1000 east Braker lane. That's in district one. Disappointed with Natasha harper-madison. This is actually creating a ghetto 368 units on route 392 for context January 9th, 2017 council member alter was sworn in. And this is when I testified at capital metro and she did two. I testified because they were trying to get rid of route 392. That route has been saved, but the frequency is not there. It's on a 40 minute, 45
[11:27:44 AM]
there. It's on a 40 minute, 45 minute headway. And when the bus gets canceled, people are sitting there waiting over an hour for the bus trying to get to work. I want to remind council member alter that she actually championed the equity plan, but she's silent when it comes to raising the land. This is dense forestry and all of the trees are being knocked down. So you're creating social determinants of health. An equity plan is not just for west Austin. You should speak out when there's something going on in east Austin. Two specifically, I want you to recognize the hostile architecture, the defensive design that we have there in the east side of 35, codifying the 1928 city plan. There are no shelters. If you continue on route 392, you'll recognize right there at the intersection of this development. Our senior citizens at collinwood lost their bus service in 2018, and those that rbj enjoy two bus routes, 322, and they have a Monday bus for 93 two. I want
[11:28:46 AM]
Monday bus for 93 two. I want you to recognize when you continue on route 392 into the neighborhood. There are three schools in this area at Yeager and tech ridge boulevard, over 2000 units and no bus stop shelter. And really there. >> Thank you, miss Joseph charter. >> You are supposed to fund it. >> Thank you mayor. >> That concludes all the speakers members. >> That concludes all the speakers that were signed up on the consent agenda. I've previously asked if there were any abstentions, recusals or no votes, and if there was any further discussion, there being no further discussion. Without objection, the consent agenda for the board of directors meeting of the Austin housing finance corporation is adopted. Members. Without objection, we will adjourn the meeting of the Austin housing finance corporation board of directors for December 12th, 2024 at 11:29 A.M.
