on October 16th, 2025, and I will call to order the special called meeting of the Austin audit and finance committee for the Austin city council. We are meeting in the city council chambers, which are located in city hall at 301 west second street, and we have a quorum of the committee present. We are here today to take up one item, and that is an executive session related to the discussion of personnel issues related to the appointment of a new city auditor. We will go into an executive session pursuant to 551074 of the Texas government code, which deals with personnel matters. If there's no objection, we will go into executive session. Hearing no objection, we will go into that excutive session at 10:01 A.M. I will come out at the end of the. There's not going to be any action by the committee today. So at the end of this executive session, I will return either wh all or part of the committee or none

We took up personnel matters related to the hiring of a city auditor. We are now back in regular session, and we have one item. And that's the discussion of possible recommendation to council regarding candidates to interview for city auditor. Pursuant to our our charter and the charter sets the audit and finance committee as the nominations committee for the entire city council for our city auditor. And so I'll entertain a motion. And the motion is made by the mayor pro tem that pursuant to the requirements of the Austin city charter, the audit and finance committee acting as the nominations committee of the

nominations committee of the Austin city council, recommends and nominates the following three people to be interviewed by the city council on Tuesday, October 21st, 2025.
