We are a-t-x-n the City of Austin's Government Access Channel it's 11:00 in the morning on November 17th, 2025, and I will call to order this special called meeting of the Austin city council. We have a quorum present. We have we have the necessary quorum of the Austin city council president present. Under Texas state law, only two council members are necessary for quorum to canvass an election. And we have five members of the city council present here today. We will now take up item number one on the agenda, and that is to approve a resolution canvasing the results of the November 4th, 2025 special election. In the special election, the returns of the election showed that there were 62,952 votes for proposition Q and 109,375 votes against proposition Q. And the motion that I'll entertain is to approve the resolution canvasing and accepting the returns for the November 4th, 2025 special election, declaring proposition Q is not adopted. Motion made by councilmember Segal is seconded by councilmember duchen. Is there discussion on the item? Hearing none. Without objection, the item is adopted, and for the record, the members that are here and voting in favor of that are council member Laine, mayor pro tem Fuentes, councilmember. Duchin. Councilmember altar, councilmember Segal, and mayor Watson members. There is no further business to come before the Austin city council at this special called meeting.
